Meet the designer – Kanishk of HAR.YARN.V

Kanishk let me choose the song and I think this will be perfect.

Kanishk is from a  Haryanvi family which has been based in Gurgaon for over a century hence the name                HAR. YARN.V.

I also met him at a recent Summer Mela in Dastkaar in Delhi and finally got to see all his beautiful clothes in person. I love his passion for Indian textiles, design and also how he working with Indian handloom and weaver’s NGOs .

While 2nd year of college, in 2010 is when the  idea of HAR.YARN.V came. The seed was  sown by his instructor then Ms Archana Ranjan .

“While growing up I have only seen my cousins growing up into IAS/IPS’s , doctors, engineers and all those typical careers. Even after getting good enough grades in my 12 standards, I could not study business, which I got enrolled into. I opted out , and looked for avenues.and landed up in designing.I was asked interesting questions , one of them being “itna padh likh kar bhi tailor hi to banega “. And to my surprise, I feel great now as padha likha tailor ! ”
