Its been sometime since we posted a home tour. Come join us in exploring Renu’s beautiful home in Bengaluru.
Renu stays in a 1400 sq. ft rented apartment in Bangalore with her husband . ” We have been staying here for 3 years now. This is our study room and this is where my husband or I usually work on Laptop, take office calls, pay bills etc. I usually like to do painting here or just lounge about during the day. This is our favorite part of the house as well. “
(beautiful chair , that lamp and the ceramics mug makes for a perfect place to chill out as well )
(we love this world map – these are some travel goals Renu ! and aww that cute little Buddha )
Their whole dining space has come out in tones of Blue and red. The vibrant painting above the kilim bench is by Balinese artist Ketut Soki. It depicts Balinese village life. It was purchased on a recent trip to Bali. There is also a Tanjore painting of baby krishna in antique finish.
This brass Buddha statue is special as it was picked up after a lot of search. Renu’s husband wanted to bring home the one which had the most serene and calm expressions. So while checking out Buddha Busts, they would try to figure out the kind of expression Buddha statue emanated. “Our search came to an end, when they stumbled upon this one. ”
” I love textiles – Jaipuri block prints, kantha weaves, Ikkat nd Kalamkari block printed fabrics. My love for the same can be reflected in the bedrooms in the form quilts and pillows used like use of soft neutral colours , pastels with few pops of colours here and there. ” Says Renu
We love Renu’s collection of textiles and how they add so much character to her beautiful home. But her study room is where we would like to plonk ourselves are write more blog posts.
